Learn the whole book. Not the summary.
Uncoursed turns a textbook, a PDF or your notes into a full course: every chapter as reading, practice and checks, with a learning buddy who has read it too.
Start freeSee how it works FIG 0.1The whole book
Every page is read, not skimmed. Nothing is summarised away.
FIG 0.2Chapters you approve
You see the chapter plan first, and decide what goes in.
FIG 0.3Review before you forget
What you got wrong comes back, spaced further each time.
Every idea gets apictureyoucantouch.
Each chapter is built with visualizations made for its ideas: simulations you drive, 3D models you turn, drawn animations, pictures you explore part by part, blocks you compare side by side. These are real ones the platform generated. Try them.
A learning buddy in every chapter
It knows the course you are in and the page you are on. It asks you questions, points at what it means and never hands you the answer.

Because the ring of muscle has to keep the lens rounded the whole time you read. Try it: which way does the lens change for a far object? It gets flatter? Exactly. That is why looking far away rests your eyes. Ask your learning buddyExercises that make you recall
Not four-option quizzes. You fill gaps, match pairs, put steps in order and answer in your own words, because pulling it out of memory is what makes it stay.
It comes back right before you forget
Every card returns on a spaced schedule. Recall it and the gap grows; struggle and it comes back sooner. The same question, a stronger memory each time.
Review made from your mistakes
Each time you come back, your learning buddy builds a short review from what went wrong: gaps to fill, steps to order, statements to judge. Flashcards return on a spaced schedule.

So the cornea does most of the bending. Now, what does the lens do up close? It gets rounder. LB Right. On to the retina.Listen, and answer out loud
Your learning buddy talks you through the chapter, stops to ask, and waits for your answer, typed or spoken.

How is this different from a summary app?
Summary apps compress. We expand. Every concept gets the format that fits it: visualization, simulation, exercise, flashcard. You finish knowing what the author actually said, not a 2-minute take.
What can I upload?
A PDF or a Markdown file up to 400 pages: a textbook, your notes or internal docs. You see the chapters first, then we build every one of them, with coverage checked against the source. No fragments, no skipped sections.
Is the learning buddy a regular chatbot?
No. It answers from your material and knows the course and chapter you are in. It asks you questions too, draws on a board when words are not enough, and can talk you through a chapter out loud.
What about retention?
Two ways. Every time you come back, the learning buddy builds a short review from what went wrong and what felt hard: gaps to fill, steps to put in order, statements to judge, tables to complete. On top of that, flashcards return on a spaced schedule (SM-2), and you can ask for more review on any topic whenever you want.
Who is this for?
Self-directed learners tired of skim-summary apps and 20-year-old MOOCs. People who actually want to know the material, not feel like they do.
How does pricing work?
Uncoursed is in beta with introductory pricing of $17 per month (regularly $29). Every account starts with a 14-day free trial, no credit card required, and 2,500 generation plus 1,500 interaction credits to try the platform.
