A learning buddy for every student.

Uncoursed turns your semester plan and teachers' materials (textbook, notes, core curriculum) into an interactive course students actually want to do. One chapter is one lesson, and the learning buddy knows only your course.

Find the zeros of the quadratic function.

Work it out on paper, I'll take a look.

Consider the function f(x) = 2x² + 5x − 3. Find its zeros using the discriminant. Show every step: from reading off the coefficients to plugging into the formula.

Solution Ola · 1:22 pm f(x) = 2x² + 5x − 3 1)a = 2, b = 5, c = −3 2)Δ = b² − 4ac Δ = 25 − 4·2·(−3) Δ = 25 − 24 = 1check the sign of c 3)√Δ = Hold on.

Look at step 2: you're computing 4·2·(−3). What does that come to? Then: you're subtracting that number from 25.

From the semester plan to ready lessons.

Why does the sign change here? Look at step 2 again. What happens to −3? Can I try an easier one first? LB Sure. Same idea, smaller numbers.

Leveling the playing field

Every student gets a learning buddy, not just the ones whose parents pay for private lessons. Quick learners move on; those who need more time practice longer. No one is left behind.

See how each student is doing

Every student's progress and gaps in one panel: who is flying, who needs help, and with what exactly. Before the test shows it, not after.

01

You give the plan, we build the course

Syllabus, core curriculum, a textbook, or your own notes: the platform turns them into a full interactive course for the whole semester. Missing materials? It proposes sources and guides you step by step.

02

One chapter is one lesson

The course follows your semester plan, so the class and the material move together. The same material works on tablets in class, at home for homework, and on the bus before a quiz. On the devices your school already owns.

03

An absent student doesn't fall behind

Two weeks of sick leave? The student logs in, sees exactly the lessons they missed, and catches up on their own, with the learning buddy. No more copying notes from classmates.

05

Hard topics show up in the numbers

When half the class trips on the same concept, the panel shows it immediately. You fix that one part of the course and the next class learns from a better version.

06

Quizzes and tasks on demand

A quiz, a question set for class, or exam-style tasks: generated in a minute from the material the class is covering right now.

08

Lessons students actually open

Lessons with visualizations, exercises and a learning buddy, built from your school's material. On a phone, a tablet or a laptop. No ads, no feed pulling them away.

09

Safe and teacher-controlled

The teacher approves the sources and the content. School-managed rosters, no DMs between students, no public profiles, no addictive feed.

Reading is where it starts, not where it ends.

Every chapter is built around how people really learn: pictures of the idea, recall instead of re-reading, practice by hand, a learning buddy who can talk you through it, and review made from your own mistakes.

Written for learning, not skimming

Short sections, one idea at a time, with the steps laid out and the formulas typeset.

x² − 7x + 12 = 0 Δ = 49 − 48 = 1 x = (7 ± 1) / 2 x₁ = 4, x₂ = 2 Check the second root. What is (7 − 1) / 2? Practice by hand

Write the working. The learning buddy reads it.

In maths and science courses you solve on the sheet with a stylus or a finger. The learning buddy points at the line that went wrong and never hands you the answer.

Exercises that make you recall

Fill the gaps, match pairs, sort into groups, put steps in order, answer in your own words. Answer too fast and it asks why.

Too tired to read? Listen.

The learning buddy talks you through the chapter out loud and points at the paragraph it is on. Ask it to repeat, or to go back.

Review made from your mistakes

Each time you come back, the learning buddy builds a short review from what went wrong: gaps to fill, steps to order, statements to judge, tables to complete. Plus spaced flashcards, and more review whenever you ask.

A patient 1-on-1 learning buddy for everystudent.

Every student gets a learning buddy that teaches them out loud, at their own pace. It explains the lesson, stops to ask a question, waits for the answer, and never sighs when they ask again. In whatever language they think in. All from teacher-approved material.

Exercises that make you recall

Not four-option quizzes. You fill gaps, match pairs, put steps in order and answer in your own words, because pulling it out of memory is what makes it stay.

Every idea gets apictureyoucantouch.

Each chapter is built with visualizations made for its ideas: simulations you drive, 3D models you turn, drawn animations, pictures you explore part by part, blocks you compare side by side. These are real ones the platform generated. Try them.

It comes back right before you forget

Every card returns on a spaced schedule. Recall it and the gap grows; struggle and it comes back sooner. The same question, a stronger memory each time.

Less prep. More teaching.

Every lesson comes with ready interactive material you can edit, iterate, and clone for next year's class. Run lessons on tablets, assign a chapter for homework, and the checking and reporting happen on their own. Class time stays for what genuinely needs a human: explaining, discussion, and the students who are stuck.

01 Ready material for every lesson: editable, never locked, clonable for next year. 02 Quizzes, question sets, and in-class tasks generated on demand. 03 Class map: who is stuck, on what, and which topics are statistically hardest. 04 You approve the sources and the content. Testing beats re-reading

A week after studying, students who tested themselves recalled about 56% of a text. Those who re-read it recalled about 42%.

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe for under-18 students?

Teacher-controlled rosters, no DMs between students, no public profiles, no engagement algorithm pulling kids in. The source library is curated by you. Formal compliance certifications (COPPA, FERPA) are on our roadmap; we are happy to discuss data handling specifics before a pilot.

How do teachers create courses?

Give it your semester plan, core curriculum, textbook, or notes and Uncoursed builds a full interactive course where one chapter is one lesson. Missing materials? It proposes sources for the teacher to approve. Everything is editable and clonable for next year.

How do we handle assessment?

Auto-graded comprehension checks after every section. A student who answers too fast is asked to explain, so a guess shows up as a guess. Plus quizzes, question sets, and exam-style tasks generated on demand from the material the class is covering. Exports are CSV today; gradebook integrations are on the roadmap.

What about students who were absent?

They log in, see exactly the lessons they missed, matched to the class plan, and catch up on their own with the learning buddy. No copying notes from classmates and no extra catch-up sessions for the teacher.

Do you integrate with our LMS?

Not yet. Integrations with Google Classroom, Canvas, and Moodle are on the roadmap. For now, Uncoursed runs standalone via teacher-managed rosters.

What about district pricing?

We are running early-access pilots, so pricing is bespoke right now. Write us and we will work out something that fits your situation.
